Well-crafted messages directed at a specific audience have the greatest impact. Generic content may be accurate, but not focused towards anyone. Is it any surprise then so much of it seems boring, predictable, and certainly not motivating?

NewSof develops tailored and retailored content that can address change issues, by incorporating key behavioral concepts like the stages of change (Transtheoretical Model), self-efficacy, storytelling, and even incorporating individual’s favorite metaphors and interests into the fabric of the message.

As you get to know someone, you learn their interests, likes, dislikes, pet peeves, sense of humor and so on. With some folks you only talk baseball. For other it’s politics or gardening. “Just the facts ma'am”, is perfect for one person, but another needs all the details before they can really ‘hear’ critical information.

When you get to know someone, you know the right words and structure for a conversation to be effective. By building a personal profile for participants, we get to know them. As they answer questions throughout a change process, we can continuously build messages that match his or her current situation within the context of their learning styles and preferences. Segments of highly tailored content for each person naturally resonates with them to a much higher degree than generic content do. In turn this generates a significant increase in change as a result. Throughout the course of an intervention (days, weeks, months, or even years) it is possible to generate literally millions of unique meaningful messages for each participant.
