The Dairy Council of California

The NewSof Group facilitated the planning and long-term development of state-of the-art, interactive nutrition-education and behavior-change services for the Dairy Council of California. Our aim is to create services that will be considered the de facto standard for nutrition-education programming in the United States. The goals of this work are to: 1) create a plan that prioritizes opportunities, interventions, and products; 2) provide specifications for new products; 3) outline the partnerships, specifications, tactics, costs, and revenue opportunities, and 4) build and manage services identified.

Two Web applications have been developed. One is a community support system for California teachers called The Virtual Teachers Lounge www.virtualteacherslounge.org.

The second service, called Meals Matter www.mealsmatter.org, is designed to encourage families to plan and eat healthy meals together. It provides support for weekly and daily meal-planning, food selection and purchasing, and tailored nutrition education.
