David W. Bulger
Consultant
Dave Bulger is a seasoned marketing executive with over 15
years' experience in creating profitable systems for accelerating
changes in consumer and professional behaviors. Dave's
expertise in behavioral, direct and relationship marketing
has benefited clients and customers in numerous industries,
especially healthcare and consumer goods. He offers
a unique blend of management, hands-on and consultative skills
in the communication arts, behavioral science and interaction
technology.
In 1994, Dave founded MicroMass
Communications, Inc., a marketing
solutions company, to commercialize his methodology and technology
for creating and sustaining intimate relationships with large,
heterogeneous populations via mass media channels. During
his tenure, he served as Chairman, CEO and Chief Technical
Officer.
Since leaving MicroMass in 2000, Dave
has provided management,
consultation and behavioral marketing solutions for numerous
organizations.
Most recently, Dave served
as Senior Consultant for Blue Cross & Blue Shield
of Rhode Island's Health & Wellness Initiative,
where he reorganized and streamlined disparate health and
wellness-related
departments, managed design and development activities for
BCBSRI's health and wellness division and developed the business
plan and supervised product design and marketing plan creation
for the Health & Wellness Institute of Rhode Island, a
proposed BCBSRI subsidiary.
As Executive Vice President,
Behavioral Strategist for DVC
Worldwide (PROMO Magazine's Agency of the Decade), Dave built
and evolved proprietary consulting and analytical offerings
to accelerate target audience transactions through a synthesis
of behavioral science and marketing communications.
Prior to founding MicroMass, Dave
served as Director, Software/Media
Development for the Health Communications Research Laboratory
at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School
of Public Health, where he wrote, produced and directed numerous
interactive video projects and developed a unique method for "on
the fly" video editing, allowing for individually tailored
video programs.
Dave began his career developing
interactive training and simulation
systems for Department of Defense support divisions of Computer
Sciences Corporation and GTE. He earned his Bachelor of
Arts degree in Journalism/Public Communications at the University
of Alaska, Anchorage in 1987.
